Licking County Children and Families First Council (CFFC) was established in 1995 in response to state legislation requiring each county to form a local council. Licking County CFFC is an association of public and non-profit organizations, schools, clergy, parents, and elected officials committed to strengthening families and improving the local social and human service delivery system by working together and sharing resources. The mission of Licking County CFFC is to build community capacity, coordinate systems and services, and engage and empower families. CFFC is funded by government and local grants, supplemented with local contributions from its membership.
Licking County CFFC assumes responsibility for the Ohio Revised Code mandate that each county develop a plan to coordinate services for families who voluntarily seek services for their children with multi-system needs. Licking County CFFC fulfills this mandate by providing Service Coordination and High-Fidelity Wraparound services to Licking County children, age birth to 21, and their families, with the goal of maintaining children in their homes whenever possible.
Licking County CFFC partners also work on a Shared Plan that addresses critical problems facing children and adolescents in Licking County. With your support we hope to continue our efforts to make a positive difference for Licking County children, youth and their families.
Council meetings are held the first Wednesday of August, October, December, February, April, and June, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the Licking County Board of Health Department 675 Price Road, Newark, Ohio, 43056. The Executive Board meets in January and May.
