The District Technician coordinates and provides assistance for agriculture community and rural landowners regarding soil health, conservation practices, and water quality initiatives. The position will offer technical assistance to put conservation practices on the ground by working with federal, state and local government entities, agri-businesses, landowners, and farmers. Must be customer service oriented, willing to work in the office and in the field, and have an understanding of natural resource management principles.  

Minimum qualifications: Graduate of an accredited college with an Associate’s Degree (preferably in agriculture, natural resources management, environmental science or related field); or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A valid Ohio driver’s license and remain insurable under the District’s automobile policy is required.   Must pass a Licking County pre-employment drug screening.
