These positions are the foundation of services provided by the Agency, serving as the initial point of contact for many Licking County residents in need of supportive services. Customer Service Specialists perform front desk, community resource room, and mailroom services. All positions are cross trained to provide coverage, flexibility, and experience.

Duties of these positions include but are not limited to: greeting customers both in person and via phone, answering questions related to Agency programs, scanning documents that providing verification for the eligibility of services, processing case alerts within specialized software, picking up and delivering agency mail, answering Agency’s main phone line, referring customers to correct area of the Agency or external supportive services as appropriate.

Licking County Job & Family Services is seeking energetic, professional individuals with a passion for the Licking County community to fill positions in our Customer Service Unit.

Agency Preferred Minimum Qualifications

A successful Customer Service Specialist will possess an Associate Degree in a relevant area (Human Services, Social Work Assistant, Business, etc.); one (1) year experience working with in a public service area, competency in the use of computers, OR equivalent education and experience.

Customer Service Specialists must maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.  Criminal record and drug screen required.
