Position Description: |
Duties: - Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Assists general public in person, by telephone, and by email requesting information regarding departmental programs, services, policies, processes and procedures.
- Promotes and maintains positive and effective working relationships within the Clerk’s office, with other county offices and departments, in addition to promoting good public relationships as a representative of Licking County Government.
- Processes vehicle titling.
- Processes watercraft titling and registration.
- Conducts research in relation to public records requests.
- Cashiering of cash, checks, money orders and credit cards.
- Balance cash drawer daily.
- Prepares and maintains records as required; prepares various types of correspondence.
- Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to the essential functions of the position and all agency safety procedures.
- Remains informed of current developments and procedures pertinent to duties; may be required to attend seminars/training.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Job Prerequisites: |
Minimum Qualifications: - Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with a major course work in public administration, business administration or a related field; and 6 – 18 months of experience and/or training in related field.
Additional Qualifications (Agency/Dept. Qualifications): - Must be able to lift 25 lb; accuracy & efficiency; ability to maintain positive relationships with co-workers and other departments / offices; basic computer skills and familiarity with other office equipment / technology; previous experience with titling and / or cashiering preferred.
