Position Description:

Duties: Complete all basic office duties, including but not limited to:

 

Filing (daily)

Making Coffee

Maintain Public Areas of the Office

Typing

Answering Phones

Messages

Directing Calls

Mailing

Greeting Clients

Inventory

Distribution of Documentation

Maintain Record and Storage Areas

Participate in Events and Outreach Activities

Ensure Proper Maintenance on Office Vehicles is Scheduled and Completed

 

The administrative assistant is to assist the Director in all tasks as needed for daily operations of the office.

 

The administrative assistant must maintain at all times a pleasant, polite, professional demeanor.

Job Prerequisites:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States who received an honorable discharge or if a qualified veteran is not available the spouse, surviving spouse, child, or parent of a veteran, per Ohio Revised Code 5901 (Verification of eligibility must be included with the application).
  • Current Ohio driver’s license (driving is considered an essential function of this position).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective computer skills.
  • Experience, knowledge and/or training in administration and bookkeeping; must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Typing and keyboarding skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience in outreach and coordinating of public services.
