Position Description: |
Duties: - Perform weekly visual inspection of bioswales, shade trees and sidewalk planters.
- Supervise and direct daily tasks of seasonal conservation crew.
- Safely operate Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) with watering system.
- Record work progress and report plant or infrastructure failures to supervisor.

Brief Description: |
The Conservation Crew Leader performs visual inspection of all demonstration plantings, and supervises and directs the daily tasks of the conservation crew. Possessing and maintaining a working knowledge of small crew supervision, plant maintenance and green infrastructure is critical to the role. |
Job Prerequisites: |
Minimum Qualifications: - High School Diploma
- Landscaping experience that includes a combination of weeding, watering, trimming, planting, digging, raking, trash removal, dead plant removal and replacement, using hand tools and power tools.
Additional Qualification (Agency/Dept. Qualifications): - Willingness to direct and perform landscaping tasks.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended hours.
- Ability to carry and transport resources materials and equipment.
- Proof of valid Ohio driver’s license and remain insurable.
- Understand and adhere to the Licking County Soil & Water Conservation District policy manual.
