Additional Skills:

 The transportation officer should possess an ability to communicate effectively and in a courteous manner to court staff and the public. He/she should also be able to analyze unusual situations efficiently and respond appropriately, causing minimal disruption.

Position Summary:

 The transportation officer will provide transport and security services for the Licking County Juvenile Court, including transport of all detained juveniles to detention facilities, court hearings, and appointments. The transportation officer will abide by the Transportation Policy in order to take all precautions necessary while transporting juvenile prisoners to protect the lives and safety of officers, the public, and the juveniles in custody.

Minimum Qualifications:

 Qualified individuals must be 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma and have an exemplary driving record. Must also have physical capabilities to search and/or detain individuals when necessary.
