Licking County Transit bus

Licking County Transit (LCT) offers a Demand Response service and a Deviated Fixed Route Service for Licking County residents. LCT is owned, operated and governed by the citizens of Licking County through the Licking County Board of Commissioners.

Services

Route Service

Route service includes multiple routes with designated stops, operating on a scheduled loop at specific times.

  • Routes run Monday - Friday from 5:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Find nearby bus stops using our route guide or at transit.lickingcounty.gov
  • Check the schedule – Find out what time your stop is
  • Get to the bus stop 5 minutes early
  • No fare to ride
  • Reach out to our Dispatch Team for questions - (740) 670-5185 (option #2)

Demand Response Service

Demand Response Service is scheduled curb to curb service.

How to Schedule

  • Demand Response runs Monday - Friday from 5:00 AM - 8:00 PM and Saturdays from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Call (740) 670-5185 (option #1) or 1-800-350-7071. Give the scheduler the following information:
    • Day you want to travel
    • Your full name and those of any other passengers traveling with you
    • Your address and phone number
    • Mobility needs (wheelchair, cane, service animal, personal care attendant, etc.)
    • Pick up and drop off addresses - Please provide complete street address to assure we arrive at the correct location
    • Time you need to be at your destination
    • Time you need picked up to return home
  • Please be ready for your trip on the day and time that you have made arrangements

Fare (Cost)

  • General Public - $4
  • Elderly & Disabled - $2 (*Elderly & Disabled passengers may qualify for half fare with application approval)
  • Age 60+ - No Fare (**Ages 60+ qualify for rides with no fare under the Senior Citizens Levy Program)

Exact change or ePass is required to ride.

Passengers can load funds onto their ePass with cash in person or with a driver. Passengers can also load funds by card in person or by visiting the ePass payment portal. *A 3% convenience fee applies to card payments, with a minimum charge of $1.50. Electronic check payments include a $2.00 transaction fee.

Holidays

Licking County Transit is closed for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Licking County Transit Services are funded, in part, by the Federal Transit Administration, the Ohio Department of Transportation, Licking County Board of Commissioners and users. Additional funding is provided by contracts with agencies to provide transportation services for their clients as well as community stakeholders.
