PUBLIC HEARING: Consider the Designation of a Restricted Area to Prohibit Construction of Large Wind Farms and Large Solar Facilities in Hanover, Licking, St. Albans, Union and Washington Townships

In the Matter of Setting a Public Hearing to Consider the Designation of a Restricted Area to Prohibit Construction of Large Wind Farms and Large Solar Facilities in Hanover, Licking, St. Albans, Union and Washington Townships, Licking County according to ORC § 303.58.

The Hanover, Licking, St. Albans, Union and Washington Township Trustees, have requested that the Board of Licking County Commissioners designate all of the unincorporated area of their respective townships as a restricted area under R.C. § 303.58 so as to prohibit the construction of large wind farms, and large solar facilities as those phrases are defined in R.C. § 4906.01 and used in R.C. § 303.57 et. seq.

R.C. § 303.58 requires the Board to hold a public meeting and provide notices of such special meeting, therefore, the Board hereby schedules a special meeting for Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the meeting room at the business office of Licking County Transit, located at 745 E. Main Street, Newark, Ohio.

This notice is also being posted on the Licking County Website, www.lickingcounty.gov.
