Position Description:

Answers incoming telephone calls, operates radio console and peripheral electronic equipment to relay information concerning law enforcement and other emergency information.

Brief Description:

The Licking County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified applicants to build an eligibility list to fill and build current and future positions as law enforcement dispatchers.

Job Prerequisites:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 21 years of age, U.S. Citizen, valid Ohio Driver’s License, High School Diploma or equivalency diploma.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Upon hire, candidate must successfully complete a field training program and become trained and certified in Emergency Police and Medical protocols. Must become CPR certified and LEADS certified.

Compensation:

SALARY: Based on current Labor Agreement

$22.44/ hour (starting salary)

$23.56 / hour (after two years of service)
