DOES LICKING COUNTY RECYCLING ACCEPT/RECYCLE ITEMS?
Licking County Recycling is a government agency responsible for promoting and encouraging recycling to the 170,000+ residents, businesses, and industries of Licking County.  Our building is an office, and does not have processing capabilities.  Therefore, we do NOT accept or recycle items at our office location.  In years past, we accepted electronics at our old E. Main Street location, but this was discontinued in late 2018. Battery collection ceased at the end of 2023.

HOW DO I ADOPT A ROAD OR HIGHWAY?
There are two ways you can help clean up a road or highway.
1.  Ohio Department of Transportation has a formal Adopt-A-Highway program, that includes a sign marking your 2-mile stretch of road.  Go to their website HERE for more information.
2.  Licking County Recycling allows groups or families to "Borrow a Backpack" from us, that includes cleanup supplies like gloves, bags, and trash grabbers.  Backpacks can be borrowed for free - just call us at 740-670-5125 to reserve yours.  More information can be found HERE or by going to the "Borrow a Bin Or Clean Up Pack" tab on the left.
