Record Collections by Department

Record Collections:

Special Note: The Licking County Records & Archives Center collections include historical materials for the various county departments and courts listed below. Though the majority of the records we hold date between the late 1800s to the mid/late 1900s, each department has a different timespan and level of impact from the 1875 Courthouse fire. For Clerk of Courts we hold case files prior to 1992. For more recent records and/or certified records from the offices and courts listed below please contact them directly by phone. Department contact information can be found under the Agencies/Departments tab above. Additionally, our collections are limited to Licking County government records, this does not include newspapers, city directories, church records, current real estate opportunities, etc.

At this time our collections are not searchable through our website. Below is a list of all the department who have records stored in the Records & Archives Center. If you have any questions regarding our collections please contact us through email [email protected], by phone 740-670-5121, or by visiting us in person at 61 East Main Street, Newark, Ohio, 43055.
