Licking County Budget Commission Special Meeting

Sealed Letters of Interest (LOI) will be accepted until Monday, November 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM and opened at that time. Seal envelopes containing the LOI must be addressed to the Licking County Transportation Improvement District, Attn: Jared Knerr, 20 S. Second Street, 3rd Floor, Newark,Ohio. The envelope shall be endorsed on the outside, “LCTID-Mink St Rd Improvement”.

Scope of Service may be obtained from the Office of the Licking CountyEngineer or the Licking County Website (https://lickingcounty.gov/depts/engineer/default.htm ), posted under Bids/Contracts.

Notice is hereby given that these delinquent vacant lands will be certified for foreclosure or foreclosure and forfeiture by the county auditor pursuant to law unless the whole of the delinquent taxes, assessments, interest, and penalties are paid within twenty-eight days after the final publication of this notice. The names of persons who have entered into a written delinquent tax contract with the county treasurer to discharge the delinquency are designated by an asterisk or have been stricken from this list.

Effective September 17, 2026, Licking County Aging Partners will assume the role of Administrative Agent for the Licking County Senior Levy, a responsibility previously held by the Senior Levy Advisory Board. This transition is designed to streamline administrative operations while maintaining the Senior Levy's longstanding commitment to supporting programs and services that help older adults remain healthy, independent, and engaged in the community.

The Licking County Recycling Department, in partnership with Licking County Records & Archives, will host a FREE paper shredding and electronics recycling event on Saturday, Sept. 19th, 2026. The event will be held from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Licking County Highway Department garage complex at 775 E. Main Street in Newark, near the intersection of East Main Street and O’Bannon Avenue.

The Licking County Recycling Department will host a household hazardous waste collection event for county residents on Saturday, August 29, 2026. The event will be held from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

A series of three Community Conversations will be held in late June to help shape LC Forward, the countywide integrated growth strategy process. This will be an important opportunity for the public to address the County's unprecendented growth.

The Licking County Records Commission will hold a meeting on Thursday, May 21st, 2026 at 2 p.m. in the basement (Room A) of the County Administration Building, located at 20 South Second St., Newark. Licking County Celebrates its 1,200 employees during National County Government Month.

The Office of the Licking County Dog Warden is launching a new initiative to increase dog license compliance across the county and ensure pets can quickly return home if lost.

Newark, OH – 3/13/2026 – Licking County is launching a process to undertake the County’s first countywide comprehensive plan in more than 25 years. The Plan will provide a coordinated, data-driven framework to manage growth, leverage community assets such as farmland and natural areas, align infrastructure investment, and guide long-term fiscal and economic sustainability.
