The Licking County Recycling Department, in partnership with Licking County Records & Archives, will host a FREE paper shredding and electronics recycling event on Saturday, Sept. 21st, 2024. The event will be held from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Licking County Highway Department garage complex at 775 E. Main Street in Newark, near the intersection of East Main Street and O’Bannon Avenue.
Licking County residents are invited to bring personal papers and other documents for shredding; no documents will be accepted from businesses. All documents and papers must be securely boxed or bagged to ensure privacy and security (please do not tape boxes shut). There is an eight-box limit per vehicle. Shredding of paper materials will take place offsite at a secure location by a certified shredding company.
Electronics collection for the event will be handled by T.D.R. of Pataskala. Most electronic items will be accepted for free, with the exception of TV’s ($1 per diagonal inch), and monitors ($5 if they are without a PC). Cash, check, or credit card will be accepted. No VCR tapes, lightbulbs, or appliances will be accepted. Please contact T.D.R. for specific inquiries about what items will accepted for electronics recycling.
